Backchannelmedia Marks Milestone with Launch of Client Access Accounting Records

BOSTON, MA. Backchannelmedia, a television media planning and buying company built on web enabled technologies, announces that on December 28, 2004 the company launched client web access for all accounting related transactions and records. These new features are to be used in conjunction with STARS (Sales Tracking and Reporting Application), which is currently being rolled out to numerous clients. STARS, one of Backchannelmedia’s foundational software applications, took eight years to develop and are designed to capitalize on the fragmentation of the television advertising marketplace.
“Launching the accounting feature of our bundled media buying and reporting solution marks an important milestone for the company,” explained Michael Kokernak, president of Backchannelmedia. “Accounting is the universal backbone of all business and to give clients, via a web portal, complete access and visibility into their accounting records for media buys communicates Backchannelmedia’s commitment and dedication to full disclosure reporting.”
Backchannelmedia clients can now view the information online in regards to their media buying accounts such as account balances, invoices and credit memos (detailed to the avail), client payments, check numbers and how payments are applied to name a few. As part of the STARS program (Sales Tracking and Reporting Service) clients can also export vital information to Excel spreadsheets and/or Word documents in addition to offering a complete audit trail for all media time purchases.
Backchannelmedia will also be announcing by February 1, 2005 a limited feature list for the STARS application. Additionally, during the first half of 2005 Backchannelmedia will be reviewing potential patent ownership rights and securing trade secret agreements related to the Company's developing suite of applications.
