Kokernak Completes Latest Marathon

Michael Kokernak, president of Backchannelmedia Inc. and a member of Response's Editorial Advisory Board, completed his run in the 2002 Boston Marathon on April 15 in 4 hours, 19 minutes, 28 seconds.

BOSTON, MA. Kokernak runs in the event annually for charity. This year, Backchannelmedia donated $4,000 to Massachusetts General Hospital as Kokernak ran for the hospital's "Marathon Team Fighting Kids Cancer... One Step at a Time."

"It was great seeing about 100 cheering kids from the hospital at the 20 mile mark, and it made all the hard work and aches and pains worth it," Kokernak says. Kokernak finished the 26.2-mile course in the 2001 Boston race in 4:02:35, while raising money for MacLean's Hospital. Kokernak will run in the Chicago Marathon in October.
